Free Wedding Shower Games!

For a most memorable Bridal Shower Party!

During bridal showers, most talk is sure to revolve around the wedding arrangements -- the gown, the venue, the honeymoon, what kind of flowers, etc. Some of your guests are likely to tire of the topic after some time, maybe because weddings/getting married is still farthest from their minds, or because they have no personal experiences to share.

Bride-to-Be Sash
"Bride-to-Be" Bachelorette Party Sash!

Famous Couples Quiz Game (Bridal Shower Game)
A Trivia Game..

This fun game can be played individually or with teams of players.

About the Game:

The idea is to identify famous couples. You can use the name of real people, historical or living (e.g., Anthony and Cleopatra, Sonny and Cher). You can also use the names of fictional people (e.g., Romeo and Juliet, Popeye and Olive Oyl).

You have to prepare the names of couples -- lets say 20 pairs -- before you can proceed.

You have to prepare questionnaires in order to play this game. To quickly get you started, use a computer and printer to out enough copies for your players.

You can design your game questionnaire a number of ways:

* As a "Matching"-type game

* As a "Fill-in-the-Blanks"-type game

Play "Famous Couples" as a Matching Type Game:

Your questionnaire should have 2 columns of names -- the men in 1 column and the women in another column. The players have to correctly match the names to their corresponding partners.

Play "Famous Couples" as a Fill-in-the-Blanks Type Game:

Your questionnaire should have 1 name and a blank beside it. The object of the game is for the player to provide the correct partner to each name.

You can mix it up: in some cases, provide the woman's name. In others, provide the man's name.

If you feel up to it, you can also provide a small photo of the person beside the blank as a clue of sorts. It shouldn't be difficult to find photos from google.

Play Individually or as a Team Game ?

If you're having a co-ed party, it's a great idea to make teams out of your guests such as: couples, single men, single women. You can also simply divide by gender: men versus women.

Play as a Race or a Timed Game ?

If you are willing to give multiple prizes in cases of a tie, a timed game is great to foster team play. Otherwise, go ahead and make it a race: the first player or team to submit a perfect questionnaire wins all.

Note: Even for a Race, you can award multiple winners. This is especially suited for big parties. Just make it such that.. the first X person(s) or team(s) to submit a 'perfect' questionnaire win prizes.

Trading Balloon Pairs (Bridal Shower Game)
Pop the Balloon and Swap/Trade your way to Pairs..

If you want your guests to really mix it up, this is a fun, crazy way to get things rolling.

Each guest gets (or is given) 4 balloons. Uninflated.

Each player has to inflate the balloon and pop it in order to retrieve the name card inside.

Each balloon holds a name card.

Each name card has a corresponding partner, for example, "Donald Duck" matches up with "Daisy Duck".

The challenge is for your guests to trade their way to holding 2 pairs of partnered names.

The challenge stems from this 1 constraint: Players are supposed to 'trade' or 'barter' their name cards -- each player is supposed to hold 4 name cards at all times.

This means that in order for a player to acquire a name card from somebody, he has to give up one of his own.

You can expect that all players will want to trade their cards to their advantage. Some will be luckier than others.

Furthermore, enterprising players can do 3- or 4-way trades to get the card they need.

If you have a big group at your party, this can be a fun, rowdy game that will get your guests mingling in no time.

Feel free to make the game more interesting by introducing any of the following twists:

* Give 6 or 8 name cards to each player; To win, a player must submit 3 or 4 pairs of names.

* Introduce 1 or 2 name cards that DON'T have a partner -- like an old maid card!

Tip #1: You can use names more than once, like for example, you can make 2 cards that says "Romeo" but only 1 card that says "Juliet". The player who holds the unmatched "Romeo" card has no chance of winning.. unless he manages to trade it away.

Tip #2: Similar to #1 above, but this time you can use names that have multiple possible partners. For example, "Cleopatra" can be a match to both "Mark Antony" and "Julius Caesar".
